With more than 100 million Android users, Instagram is one of the most popular social applications available on the market.

Instagram is available on iOS and Android platforms, but Windows Phone users have been left out for the moment. Although there are rumors that the application might arrive on Microsoft’s mobile platform, official confirmation is still pending.

Anyway, Instagram for Android offers users a fun and simple way to create and share photos on their devices. Developers have just released a new update for Instagram that bumps the application to version 3.4.5.

The only thing mentioned in the changelog is the fact that it brings “enhancements for LG Optimus devices,” but no additional details are provided.

Instagram 3.4.5 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
