Instagram, the popular camera application available for devices running under iOS, is on its way to Android.

The team behind the application announced several weeks ago that the new version would be out soon, but they didn’t offer a specific release date for it.

However, it appears that it won’t be long before the software is released, since the company has already opened registrations for those who want to be the first to know when the app is launched. The signup page is available today on Instagram’s website.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the application offers users the possibility to apply a series of filters to their photos before sharing them with their friends and family.

The company promises more details on the Android flavor of Instagram in the near future, so stay tuned for more on this.
