One of the reasons some Android users willing to switch to Windows Phone 8 are still having second thoughts is the fact that Instagram has yet to arrive on Windows Phone Store. Although developers promised a Windows Phone 8 app would be available in the future, Instagram has yet to be officially released for Microsoft’s latest version of Windows Phone.

Nokia Lumia users might be in luck as rumors that Instagram is developing a special app just for Nokia devices have just surfaced via Nokia App Highlights twitter
account.
Given the fact that this is not an official Nokia account we should take the information with a grain of salt.
Anyway, Nokia Highlights claims Instagram is not coming to Windows Phone 8 anytime soon, “but they are working on something new and special for us.”
It’s unclear whether the new application will be available for all Windows Phone 8 devices or it will be a Lumia exclusive, but stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
