Instagram Inc. has released an updated version of its photo/video application used by millions worldwide to snap photos of sunsets, meals, and pets and post them online.

Things have been a little rocky on the iOS front as of late, with numerous users reporting crashes whenever they tried to upload a picture. To address these first-world problems, Instagram Inc. this weekend rolled out a new version of its iOS client application.

The changelog says version 4.2.6 includes general bug fixes and improvements, so you should expect this issue and other bugs to be addressed as well.

Instagram is compatible with iOS 7 but continues to work with iOS 6 and numerous old-generation iDevice models. The developers say the app has “full iPhone 4 front & back camera support,” so it isn’t immediately clear if 3GS handsets are still supported.
