MKVToolNix 6.7.0, a set of tools to create, alter, and inspect Matroska files under Linux and other platforms, has been released and is ready for download.

According to the developers, Ruby 1.9.x is now required, a potential endless loop due to an integer overflow in the code removing AVC/h.264 filler NALUs has been fixed, the “additional parts” dialog will now show the files that make up an MPLS playlist, and reading from an MPLS playlist file is now done as if the second and following files referenced in that playlist have been appended to the first file from that playlist.

Also, the AAC, AC3, and MP3 header decoding error handling has been improved, muxing Opus to WebM files is now allowed, and a crash during drag & drop operations in mmg’s chapter editor has been corrected.

A complete changelog can be found in the official announcement. With MKVToolNix, users can get information about (mkvinfo) Matroska files, extract tracks/data from (mkvextract) Matroska files, and create (mkvmerge) Matroska files from other media files.

Download MKVToolNix 6.7.0 right now from Softpedia.
