Video game developer Insomniac Games has registered a trademark for a product called Cloudless, although it has not offered any sort of information on what kind of experience it might be creating based around it.

It's interesting to note that the trademark is referring directly to online experiences, which might suggest that the studio is ready to try out something new, according to the document from AllGamesBeta.

Insomniac is at the moment best known for the work they have done on the Resistance first person shooter series, which now seems to be abandoned, on the Ratchet & Clank.

Insomniac Games is lead by Ted Price and the executive has previously been quoted as saying that his company has some interesting plans for the future.

The team is already working on a game called Sunset Overdrive for the Xbox One so the new Cloudless project might be linked to the PlayStation 4.
