Celebrity pundits may have nicknamed her little igNori or Norphan for the little time she (allegedly!) spends with her famous, attention-hungry mother, but a new report reveals Kim spares no expense when it comes to spoiling her.
In between hiring a personal chef to cook only all-organic food for North and a personal stylist slash tailor to dress her up in outfits matching Kim’s, the reality star is also spending a fortune to make North’s life as luxurious as possible, from the wardrobe to her toys, her room, and pretty much everything else.

Designer clothes she will never wear and custom-made shoes
Kim Kardashian lives a life of excess, because she can afford it. The same goes for her husband, rapper Kanye, who is one of the best-selling artists of the day, even though he gets a lot of negative media attention for the things he says and does on stage. However, where music is concerned, no one is denying that he’s got that golden touch that can turn every track into a hit.
So, with two parents who are now at their first child, is it really that surprising that they’re basically burning money to make North’s life as fabulous as possible? Well, it depends on who you ask.
This week’s print issue of Us Weekly will run an extensive piece on the many ways in which Nori is spoiled rotten by her rich parents, the Daily Mail informs. The general tone of the piece will be that, while Kim and Kanye might not worry about money, they do lack a bit of common sense when it comes to spending it.
A perfect example would be North’s wardrobe, which features about “200 designer pieces that she’s never worn,” including a silk Oscar de la Renta dress ($375 / €293.8), a Roberto Cavalli frock ($200 / €156.7), an Alexander Wang leather dress, and shoes made especially for her by Giuseppe Zanotti.
Many of these items are gifted to North by the designers, who are thus looking for a bit of unpaid endorsement in the media at the expense of a kid. However, even more are either purchased or made especially for the tot.
An insider says that North “loves clothes and getting ready to go out,” which is why Kim and North “invest” this kind of money in her wardrobe.
Luxury transportation and even more expensive digs
That’s not all that Kim and Kanye splurge on when it comes to North, the report continues. Her room at grandma Kris Jenner’s house is all-white and includes a $3,950 (€3,102) crib and countless expensive toys. Because her parents don’t want her to get homesick, whenever they travel someplace else for longer stretches and she tags along, they make sure to “replicate” her nursery at the hotel exactly, down to the carpet and everything else.
When she’s not carried in her mother’s arms, North travels in a $940 (€737) stroller. Always the practical woman, Kim bought “at least” 5 of these strollers and scattered them in places she believes she will be visiting more often, including Paris, where Kanye keeps an apartment, and her sister Kourtney’s house, where North goes on playdates with cousins Penelope and Mason.
As noted above, North also has her own personal chef, who is instructed to prepare only all-organic meals and who is flown to wherever she goes, like the most recent Paris Fashion Week, where she accompanied her mom and dad.
Last but not least, North travels a lot. She turned 1 this summer and she already has many air miles clocked up, perhaps more than any other celebrity kid.
Last we heard, Kanye was thinking of designing a diamond ring for her, because he wanted to be the first man to place one such bauble on her finger. If that’s not living in the lap of luxury, nothing is.
