14 DAY TRIAL // Mama June has been caught red-handed again: after several denials that she was not dating convicted pedophile Mark McDaniel, who served 10 years behind bars for molesting her own daughter, Anna “Chickadee,” when she was just 8 years old, she has finally admitted to reconnecting with him.
However, she’s been telling friends, it’s not exactly what you think.
Radar Online reports that Mama June, the matriarch who shot to international fame thanks to TLC’s reality shows Toddlers & Tiaras and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, has made contact with a convicted pedophile and brought him into her house, around her 3 minor daughters, because she feels “bad” for him.
Mama June is trying to help McDaniel “get back on his feet”
Mama June and McDaniel dated about 12 years ago and they were a couple when he abused Chickadee. However, the 8-year-old girl didn’t have the courage to go to her mother with her horrific story of abuse (and horrific it was, trust us, you don’t want the details) so she eventually spoke to a teacher at school.
The teacher informed Chickadee’s grandmother, who, in turn, told Mama June. Mama June’s first reaction was pure, undiluted denial, something along the lines of “Why would you do this to me? Why would you make up such a story?”
To this day, Chickadee said in a recent interview, Mama June still doesn’t believe her, even though McDaniel pled guilty to aggravated assault on a minor and did the time. This would explain her twisted logic in reconnecting with him after all these years: the man who robbed her own daughter of her innocence.
Insiders tell the celebrity publication that Mama June agreed to meet with McDaniel because she felt “bad” and she now had the financial means to “help him get back on his feet.” This is why she bought him a used car (cash down) and went house hunting with him.
Nothing will happen to the girls
Insiders say that McDaniel apologized to Mama June for what he did to Chickadee, and Mama June believed him. She doesn’t think there’s a problem in her hanging out with the man who went to prison for molesting her daughter and she is convinced McDaniel would never do that again, let alone to another one of her 3 girls.
“Alana [Honey Boo Boo] did spend time with June and Mark, but she insists he was never alone with her,” says the source.
Plus, Mama June doesn’t understand what the fuss is all about since she doesn’t plan on spending more time with McDaniel because they’re not romantically involved: she just helped him out for a bit.
Whichever the case, the bottom line is that Mama June lied: she claimed she would “never ever” get in touch with McDaniel, as the video below can confirm. She also insisted the photos of the two together must have been faked to make her appear guilty. She’s now being exposed as the liar she is.
