Solar panels are now used to keep these summer delights from melting

Up until recently, environmentalists could have blamed ice cream trucks for negatively impacting on the environment, seeing how they needed fossil fuels in order to get around and electricity to keep the good stuff from melting.

However, Dutch company Springtime now developed an environmentally friendly ice cream cart, which uses solar-energy to power the refrigerator where the ice cream is stored.

Seeing how summer is known to be that time of the year when the sun shines at its brightest, it can be argued that this sustainable ice cream cart will be as efficient as possible both in harvesting green energy, and in keeping customers satisfied.

Apparently, the cart can be simply added to either a vehicle or maybe even a bike, but we personally encourage that you opt for the latter so as to stay on the green side from beginning till end.
