Four men have escaped jail in Oklahoma by finding a way to reach the plumbing system. They went for a shower and managed to break free by climbing through the pipe chase.

Fox News reports that they have climbed up a trap door located above the shower. The escape took place on Saturday at Caddo County Detention Center.

They prisoners made it to the pipe chase and crawled inside it until reaching a door. Said door is not part of the perimeter of the detention center.

"I just think it's kind of an odd deal, that they escaped and how they escaped," Anadarko resident, Christopher Dobson, comments.

Caddo County Sheriff Gene Cain informs that law enforcement officials are currently looking for the escapees.

"All they had to do was push the door and walk out because it's not in the jail," Sheriff Cain notes.

"Caddo County Detention Center had four inmates escape from the Detention Center thru the trap door above the shower and then into the pipe chase and out the pipe chase door!" a Sheriff's office spokesperson has stated, as reported by NBC News.

This is the first escape on record for the Anadarko facility. Police in Caddo County are joined in the search by Lawton, Oklahoma officers and Oklahoma Highway Patrol staff.

The prisoners have been identified as 21-year-old Dylan Ray Three Irons, 23-year-old Prime Touwin Brown, 24-year-old Anthony James Mendoca and Triston Cheadle, 32.

Cheadle was awaiting trial on a robbery with a firearm charge and sentencing for a separate count of methamphetamine possession.

The other prisoners were scheduled for transfers to the state Department of Corrections jail. Mendonca was convicted for carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest.

Three Irons was in jail for violating his probation terms and Brown was imprisoned for second-degree burglary.
