The development team at NetherRealms says that it plans to deliver free content to gamers via updates in order to make sure that all players can go online regardless of their downloadable content choices for Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Ed Boon, the leader of the team that created the superhero fighting game, tells GameInformer that, “For instance, if you download Lobo, we want it so you can play Lobo against me, but I need to have the Lobo content on my machine for you to use him against me. The way we’re going to do that is to give away costumes.”

Lobo is the free DLC character that will be delivered for Injustice and going forward, all DLC releases will be accompanied by compatibility patches.

Boon believes that developers have a clear responsibility to make it as easy as possible for their audience to play the game.
