The Information Security Forum – known for being among the leading authorities when it comes to information risk management and cyber security – has released a tool called Benchmark as a Service (BaaS).

Organizations can leverage the tool to compare their own security status against the one of other companies. All they have to do is submit one or more questionnaires and they’ll almost immediately be presented with detailed reports.

“Our BaaS tool is unrivalled as it provides organizations with an in-depth assessment of their security arrangements. Benchmark results are available immediately – as soon as you submit your data you can receive results,” said Steve Durbin, global vice president of the information security forum.

“This allows organizations to compare their performance against similar, anonymous organizations around the world, as well as against the ISF’s Standard of Good Practice for Information Security (The Standard), ISO/IEC 27002 and COBIT 5 for information security.”

The product is available in two categories. For $8,000 (6,200 EUR) customers can use it as many times as they want during a specified quarter. On the other hand, those who want to use it unlimitedly for a whole year will have to pay a fee of $20,000 (16,000 EUR).
