WordPress 3.4.1 has been made available and, according to the developers, this is more of a maintenance and security release.

A total of 18 functionality bugs have been addressed in the 3.4.1 variant, including an issue with theme page templates and problems with category permalink structures.

The security holes discovered by the WordPress security team are also noteworthy.

“Version 3.4.1 also fixes a few security issues and contains some security hardening. The vulnerabilities included potential information disclosure as well as a bug that affects multisite installs with untrusted users,” Andrew Nacin of WordPress said.

WordPress customers are advised to download and install the latest version or head to the Updates section in the dashboard and update from there.
