Robert Bowling, who is the creative strategist at Infinity Ward and well known for talking to the community about the company's upcoming games, has said that the team has put a lot of emphasis on the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

He says that the developers of the new game combine the best traits of the two previous installment in the series, with matchmaking, Steam integration and the lobby system taken from Modern Warfare 2 and the dedicated servers and the in-game options from the first title.

Bowling added, “In addition, we’re supporting PC specific features that give you even more control over your experience like RCON, Custom Game Saving, NoGFX / Audio Card Requirement on DS.exe, Voice Chat, and SSAO.”

The wealth of options linked to the multiplayer side of the game will allow PC gamers to create customizable matches and will give them the options needed to set up games that include restrictions on classes and other details.

Bowling says, “We value the PC player and have gone to great lengths in providing a more rich experience for our players. We keep our ear near the ground and try to deliver items most requested. The big feature for MW3 we are supporting is Dedicated Servers, this includes a server browser, voting, RCON, and more.”

Publisher Activision has been accused lately of failing to adequately support the PC as a platform because the big profits are linked to home consoles.

Infinity Ward has announced that PC Modern Warfare 3 players will need to have at least a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom X38750 processor and 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT or an ATI Radeon X1950 graphics card with Shader 3.0 capabilities.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be launched on the PC, the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii on November 8 all over the world.
