The team at Turbine working on the Infinite Crisis Multiplayer Online Battle Arena is announcing that the newest superhero to enter the game will be Supergirl, who is set to be added to the title later in the year.

The company has delivered a video that is designed to show off the character design and its core powers and has offered fans some more insight into the version of the character they will be able to control.

Supergirl is the cousin of Superman, originally names Kara Zor-El and a fellow survivor of the destruction of Krypton.

The team explains that, "When she crash-landed on Earth, Kara awoke to her powers immediately manifesting. While wrestling with these powers, she was astonished to meet her cousin, now a grown man. The worst shock, though, was what came last: Kal-El, solemn, told her they were the only survivors of Krypton."

The Infinite Crisis Supergirl is quickly overwhelmed by despair and anger and becomes one of the fastest and strongest heroes in the MOBA, a bruiser who is able to quickly close with her enemies in order to take them out.

At the moment, the title is in open beta and does not have an official launch date.
