The team at Sucker Punch working on Infamous: Second Son says that all the minor characters and members of the crowd that players will find in the game will be based on real-world persons that were digitized using a complex new system.

The team chose to increase the realism level of their project by recruiting no less than 75 friends and family members that were willing to become part of the game world.

They were then subjected to marathon sessions with a complex camera system, which allowed the smallest details on their faces to be captured.

Sucker Punch offers more details about the entire process, including images of the various extras recruited, in a bigger post on Game Informer.

Infamous: Second Son is set to be launched exclusively on the PlayStation 4 from Sony before the end of 2013.
