Infamous: Second Son developer Sucker Punch has talked a bit about the moral choices included in the new PS4 game and how it ended up designing the protagonist, Delsin Rowe, as the guy he is today.

Infamous: Second Son marks the franchise's arrival on the PS4, after two great titles on the PS3. It introduces a brand new hero and promises to once again allow players to decide if he will save everyone he meets or if he will have a more pragmatic view on human life.

This moral aspect represents the game's cornerstone and, according to a new Q&A session organized by Sucker Punch on its Facebook page, the choices made by players will have an impact on a wide variety of things, from Delsin's appearance, to his behavior, and more.

"The way you choose to play the game, be it heroic or ruthless, will absolutely impact Delsin. Not only in his appearance, and demeanor, but also in how his powers develop and how you play the game minute-to-minute. You’ll definitely want to play the game twice," Sucker Punch's Jason Stansell said.

"The karma choices you make don't only impact the larger story, but have a direct impact on how you play the game minute-to-minute. Both ways of playing are extremely fun!"

The studio also shed a bit of light on the design process for Delsin Rowe, as he is a pretty different protagonist than Cole MacGrath from Infamous 1 and 2.

According to Stansell, Delsin is more of an artist, but in the end players will be the ones deciding how he behaves in the story.

"He's an artist, has a problem with authority and family is important to him. But, the way he handles the events of Second Son will be molded by you. We wanted Delsin to look like a 'regular' guy, but still express himself as an artist."

"The punk rock look helped him not look like an average joe and played well with his artsy vibe. Also, it’s usually cold and wet here in Seattle, so that’s why he’s all layered up to stay warm. The emblem is DYI screen printing he did himself."

Infamous: Second Son is set to debut on March 24 worldwide for the PlayStation 4 console from Sony. It's already available for pre-order complete with quite a few goodies, such as bonus jackets for Delsin to wear in game, not to mention a Cole's Legacy DLC that sheds more light into the events after Infamous 2.
