The fifth new online store spotted in Asia

Apple opened this week new online stores in Asia, proving that Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines are big fans of its iPods and Macs. Thanks to Softpedia reader gagahput3ra, we are now able to confirm the fifth online store kicking off in Asia, namely in Indonesia.

Not differing one bit from the other Asian stores (as far as we could see), the Indonesia Apple Store features the same Grand Opening Celebration, which nabs a freebie for buyers of a Mac or iPod. Apple's message to Indonesian customers goes,

Grand Opening Celebration

Commemorate our grand opening with a free limited-edition Apple T-shirt. Simply purchase a new Mac or iPod by November 24, 2008, and we’ll send you this exclusive shirt for free. Hurry — T-shirt supplies are limited.

The promotion is open to all residents of Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and now Indonesia. Only one T-shirt per customer will be sent, regardless of the amount of products or orders placed within the promotional period. T-shirts are available in large size only, and they are not transferable or exchangeable for any other product or for cash. Additionally, your giveaway doesn't arrive boxed with the iPod or Mac you ordered. It will be delivered to you separately, as soon as the promotion ends. T-shirts are the same for all five territories.

Following our coverage of the Malaysia Apple Store going online, gagahput3ra pointed out in the comments that Apple had also launched a similar store in Indonesia. “I'm really glad at this point, but honestly I think they open the store at the worst moment possible (or best, according to your point of view), as our currency valuation against US$ is at lowest possible. So, not much spending going on in electronics!” he said. “...if any other countries in Asia got cover stories on Apple opening online store on their country but not Indonesia, then I'm calling something International for this discrimination thing,” gagahput3ra joked.

Malaysian, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian customers cannot order an iPhone from their stores, leaving Apple fans in the Philippines the only ones from the five territories able to get the elusive device from their store.

Any other stores opened that we didn't hear about? Be sure to let us know.
