They're going to host an international conference regarding cyber-security. It's going to start on Wednesday and more than 40 countries are invited. This is bound to make a change in their online security and their war against cyber-terror. And if I think better about it, this conference is going to benefit more countries, not just India, since there is a lot to learn in these conferences. Also, from the Indian side, there are going to be a lot of firms and security software developers present.

The Indians have been experiencing problems regarding cyber-security as of late, but these were somewhat solved. Remember when the Bank of India site got hacked? That was a serious issue, with the website infected with lots of malware, but they brought it back online fast. Also, after that, the Bombay Police said it was going to install a new measure - keylogger at cyber-cafes - so that they can properly monitor traffic, thus having some control on hackers.

As seen on Kuna, a representative from India's Central Bureau of Investigation stated that "The cyber criminals exploit weaknesses in the law and enforcement procedures and practices of different nations, which exposes all nations to dangers that are beyond their unilateral capacity to respond. The meet is aimed at harmonising global response to cyber crimes".

Also, this conference will not limit itself to cyber-security, but it will also count on the participation of the United Nations Office for Drug Control and Crime Prevention, Council of Europe, Europol and the United Nations Interregional Crime Research Institute, as seen on the same site mentioned above. So they aren't just going to look at cyber-crime through a white-hatter's perspective, but rather through the eyes of various law enforcers as well. There are things that you can do in real life to stop crime on the Web!
