A mysterious package containing a diary has been sent to the University of Chicago on Wednesday, December 12.

According to Los Angeles Times, when attendants finally got to it, they noticed the package was addressed to Indiana Jones. Yes, the fictional, movie character from the Indiana Jones series.

I wondered if the sender believes Indiana resides or teaches at the University of Chicago, but I am not an expert in the series.

Apparently, in the movie, Jones is taught by Abner Ravenwood, a professor at the aforementioned University. He shares his knowledge of the Ark of the Covenant with Jones, in “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

Oddly enough, the scrappy, seemingly homemade green diary with a red spine is intended to be Ravenwood's diary.

It contains “weathered inserts and many postcards/pictures of Marion Ravenwood (and some cool old replica money),” according to the staff. You can get a look at one page above, and clicking the photo will reveal the entire illustration.

The diary and its purpose remain a mystery, and the admissions office is asking anyone who has info on it to contact them.

By the way the page is pictured I would say it was a movie prop from Raiders of the lost ark.
