Cybercriminals who target the information of Indian users continue to leverage the names of popular movies to achieve their goals. Earlier this year, they launched a phishing campaign that relied on the “Bodyguard” motion picture and now they’re doing the same with Telugu movie “Brindavanam.”

Symantec informs that the phishing site promises users a clip of “Samantha and Kajal Very hot song from Brindavanam Telugu movie.”

However, in order to watch the clip, users are instructed to enter their email address and their passwords to log in.

Once victims enter their credentials, they’re taken to the movie’s legitimate site where the video was published. In the meantime, the information they’ve submitted is stored on a server located in Montreal Canada.

This way, the phishers gain access to their victims’ accounts without raising too much suspicion.

In case you’re a victim of this phish, make sure that you change your passwords immediately.
