The website of the Indian Maharashtra Highway Police was attacked by a hacker collective called ZHC from Pakistan and a hacker who calls himself Powerin 10, reports The Hacker News.

The defaced main page reveals the true reasons behind the hack and it seems that once again the battle for the Kashmir and Jammu areas are to blame for this latest operation.

“This institutionalized impunity with which the killings of civilians by military and police forces in Jammu and Kashmir continues should be a source of shame for India which propagates to be a democracy,” reads a statement on the defaced page.

On the other hand, the Contact page was defaced by Powerin10 who doesn't exactly state his reasons. The attacks don't seem to be connected.

Once again we're witnessing the continuous battle for cyber dominance between India, and neighboring countries such as Bangladesh or Pakistan. Since this is a battle that's not easy to win, we can expect more of these hacked sites, on which each side states their problems.
