A total of 15 websites of the Bangladeshi government have been breached by Indian hackers Yamraaj and “404 !-!@!2$!-!@.”

The list of affected sites includes a subdomain of National Web Portal of Bangladesh (infokosh.bangladesh.gov.bd), the Department of Prisons (prison.gov.bd), the Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO (bncu.gov.bd), the Department of Women Affairs (dwa.gov.bd), and the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs (mochta.gov.bd).

Subdomains of the Public Service Commission (portal.bpsc.gov.bd), the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs (iems.cabinet.gov.bd), the Bangladesh Computer Council (new.bcc.net.bd), and the Prime Minister’s Office (a2i.pmo.gov.bd) have also been defaced by the Indian hackers.

The Copyright Office (copyrightoffice.gov.bd), the University Grants Commission (ugc.gov.bd), Meghna Petroleum Limited (mpl.gov.bd), the Secondary Education Quality and Access Enhancement Project (seqaep.gov.bd), the Department of Textiles (dot.gov.bd), and the National Electro Medical Equipment Maintenance Workshop (nememw.gov.bd) have also been targeted.

In addition to the government websites, over 200 commercial sites have been defaced.

The hackers haven’t defaced these sites’ index pages. Instead, they’ve added their own webpage to each one of them.

Yamraaj and 404 !-!@!2$!-!@ have told Cyber News that they’ve breached the websites as a form of protest against the operations launched by Bangladesh’s 3xp1r3 Cyber Army against Indian websites.

At the time of writing, most of the affected sites still hosted the defacement pages. However, some of the websites have been taken down.
