Most Google fans outside the U.S.

No need talking once again about the way Google dominates the Internet with its services and about the tremendous effort that its employees have to put into that. That's being paid for and very well, but what's interesting to observe is the nationalities that contribute the most. Microsoft was asked at a time to learn how to say "Thank You!" in Romanian, because it was the second most spoken language in the company, while Google should learn how to say it in Hindu. (It's "Multumesc," respectively "Shukriya," by the way)

India is Google's haven, the second largest operation for Google worldwide in terms of employee numbers, according to "The Economic Times." The Mountain View-based company has operations in Gurgaon, Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad. All of those centers mainly focus on research and development for mobile phones, so if you're using Google's services via mobile, chances are you'd have to thank them for it.

I also called India "Google's Heaven". I did it because as of late it emerged to be the highest growth market for Google in terms of advertising revenue. A match made in Googleplex, that between the Indian people and the services and advertising being delivered by Google.

"India is a very important part of our operations, globally. We have had a large engineering and operations presence through the R&D centre and global sales & support centers in India. But, the focus in the recent times has been to ramp up the market-facing capabilities for servicing the Indian market. This part is expected to clock the highest growth for Google India in the coming quarters," Shailesh Rao, the Google India Managing Director, told the cited source.

Rumors had Google planning to create the biggest server farm in the world in Malaysia. I think they should reconsider, looking at the support India is offering the Mountain View-based company.
