14 DAY TRIAL // Gone are the days when Raven Symone would describe herself as curvy – though no less fabulous because of it. The star, who has clearly lost a lot of weight and is now skinnier than ever, wowed on the catwalk at a recent charity event.
When Raven stepped out at the People’s Choice Awards 2011, looking thinner than ever, she refused to talk about how she lost the weight or, for that matter, how much she had dropped.
She did say, though, that she considered herself as fabulous as before, because she believed fabulousness had more to do with confidence than with how many pounds one read on the scales.
If confidence is that which best defines Raven, suffice it to say she has plenty of it: the star was almost unrecognizable as she strutted her stuff on the catwalk over the weekend, the Daily Mail notes.
“She once called herself ‘thick and fabulous’ and insisted she was more than happy with her curvy figure. But That’s So Raven star Raven Symone was almost unrecognizable as she took to the catwalk over the weekend for a charity event,” the British publication says.
Just for the sake of argument, the Mail includes photos of Raven at the recent event and of herself from some time back, when she was still heavy – the difference is startling, to say the least.
“The 25-year-old actress displayed her staggering weight loss in a leopard-print dress which highlighted her tiny frame as she pounded the runway to raise money at the 18th Annual Race to Erase MS event,” the Mail informs.
It also notes, as underlined above, that Raven never said exactly how much weight she’d lost, choosing instead to speak of the importance of having a healthy body image and not stress over details that probably matter very little.
“Actually, now I wear bigger clothes because I don’t like the way people stare at me. I liked it before. Now, you’re just looking at me for the wrong reasons. Before, you were actually looking at me for a real reason,” Raven said back in January, as we also reported at the time.
