Those winning the trip to the mystery location have to depart right away

The marketing people at Heineken had a challenge for adventurous travelers – the elusive offer of a free trip to an exotic destination.

The trick was that those taking the gamble would have no power over the decision on the location, that would be chosen at random upon the push of a button.

I guess that the people at Heineken have thought to include only countries with loose visa regulations and no immunization shots needed in their database.

Only a few travelers agree to take a chance, probably those who are not traveling for work.

They get to go to Laos, Portugal and Thailand, and then tell their loved ones that they will not be coming home for a while. Explaining what just happened to them turns out to be challenging.
