Bach, Chopin and Mendelsohn tunes will help restore your bathroom's euphony

Inax's Statis Asteo washlet doesn't offer more than Toto and Brondel have to offer. OK, maybe music is important, but no one is probably going to check the music player specs when getting to choose the "safest" toilet.

I'm still going to talk about the specs though. Inax's latest release, the Statis Asteo Washlet, comes with built-in 1600 W speakers. If that were true, there's no way you could keep your legs on the ground while concentrating on your business.

Now, this musical lavatory comes with the compulsory SD slot, built-in speakers (decent enough) and, surprise (take a deep breath), with Bach, Chopin and Mendelsohn tunes already preloaded on the SD card. I don't like saying this, but it's pretty refreshing to hear they didn't included Mozart's "Fur Elise!" (sorry). I would say that Leonard Cohen's "Waiting for the miracle" is probably better suited for restoring your bathroom's euphony (sorry again). Here's the best part. Once you show up for work, a sensor activates the tunes and off to the slopes you go.

"Other" features include an automatic lowering and lifting mechanism and a non-music related sensor. This sensor figures out whether you're going to need the seat up or down and motorizes it seat into the appropriate position. After you leave the war zone, it automatically places the seat in the down position (really). Hence less pre-marital or marital disputes. Moreover, the device can prevent any "friendly-fire" by guiding incoming liquids using an artificial bowl fire-fly.

Inax's new washlet is only available in Japan with prices ranging between 467$ and $737, depending on the model.
