Keiji Inafune, the leader of the development at Capcom working on Souls Sacrifice, says that he incorporated tough decisions in Souls Sacrifice in order to generate an emotional response on the part of the player.

According to the game maker, emotion is necessary in the current generation of video games and developer finds a variety of ways to create it in their titles.

He tells the official European PlayStation blog that, “In the old days, the decision making process for players was a reflex: stepping right or left in order to avoid a bullet. That doesn’t involve your emotions. But let’s say you have two choices and either decision will cause a different character to die.”

In Soul Sacrifice, gamers will need to choose whether to allow their own characters to die or pick a friend to take the hit.

The game is already out and will get access to DLC all through May and June.
