Keiji Inafune, best known for his work on Dead Rising and Resident Evil, believes that there are limited differences between the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony in terms of hardware and features.

The developer is quoted by NeoGAF as saying that, “There are lots of differences in the hardware design and other details, but in terms of differentiating themselves from each other, I don’t feel there are massive differences.”

The game maker, who has left Capcom in order to create his own development company, also believes that most coming video game launches offer limited innovation and are driven by the power of franchises.

Inafune currently has no projects in development for next-gen consoles.

The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 are expected to arrive in November.
