InMedia has unveiled a pair of new tablets especially designed and built to suit the needs of the educational sector. The slates, a 7-inch one and a 10-inch one, will come preloaded with appropriate content, to help enhance and expand learning.

InMedia CEO Dr.Karnik explained that “tablets are making rapid inroads in the educational market. The teachers, parents and students see the benefits clearly with e-textbooks and innovative e-learning apps.

“Security apps now provide multi-level parental control which ensures access control of various websites and apps. Just the digital text book would lighten the back packs.”

The InMedia 7-incher features a HD screen, 1GB of RAM and offers 32GB of storage capacity, more than enough for eBooks and educational apps. Students can stream all formats of video, audio and media content and do their share of digital reading.

The slate offers up to 6 hours of battery life, more than enough for doing homework and getting some recreational time down as well. It can also be used as a phone with built-in 3G.

The 10-inch model is powered by a quad-core processor and runs Android 4.2 out of the box. Compared to the 7-inch slate, it packs an additional USB OTG and HDMI out, allowing it to connect to a Television set.

InMedia also plans to launch its cloud based Pocket Library, where every student thirsty for knowledge can connect via Wi-Fi or 3G.
