The InFocus company has really succeeded in making a name for itself over the past few years, as it kept rolling out new and improved models almost on a monthly basis. And now InFocus is back with yet another hot offering, namely the IN2100 Series of DLP Projectors that feature the company's very innovative BrilliantColor technology.
The new series incorporates, at least for the time being, two models, the Learn Big IN2100 (designed especially for educational purposes) and the Work Big IN2100, whose main target is represented by the corporate environment. Both models are based on advanced DLP technology from Texas Instruments and feature the BrilliantColor technology, providing multi-color processing to enhance and increase color performance on the screen.
Beside the feature common to this entire family of products, the Work Big IN2100 series provides a new remote control system, as well as an advanced InFocus User Interface with a simple menu structure and user-friendly operation.
The devices from the new IN2100 series offer 2,500 lumens, making them bright enough to operate in high ambient light situations. Furthermore, each of these new models incorporates a lamp with an estimated functioning life of around 2,500 hours, while the manufacturers offer three resolutions to choose from: SVGA, XGA or WXGA. A new built-in Wireless Ready port facilitates the upgrade to InFocus' LiteShow II Wireless Presentation adaptor.
"The IN2100 Series is designed and engineered for the business and education segments by mixing top performance and features with great value," said InFocus Senior Director of Product Management David Woolf. "These are superb solutions for our business and education customers."
The new Learn Big and Work Big IN2100 Series will hit the shelves in February starting at around $599 for SVGA, $749, for XGA and $999 for WXGA models (for private customers), but the company does mention the fact that it will be offering special deals for the public sector, government and education institutions.
