Publisher Sony Computer Entertainment has decided to reward fans of Infamous: Second Son with a nice treat, offering the game's official soundtrack as a free download on the PlayStation 4.

InFamous: Second Son is a PlayStation 4-exclusive action adventure video game that places players in an open-world setting, in control of a character who discovers that he can channel superhuman powers and takes it upon himself to free the city of injustice.

As he gradually expands his powers, he will be able to execute more and more advanced moves that inflict damage on his opponents, and he will also learn new ways to navigate the sprawling in-game urban setting, modeled after real-life Seattle.

The gargantuan software and hardware maker is apparently grateful for all the support its customers have shown for the latest installment in the InFamous series, and in order to express its gratitude, the publisher has decided to release the InFamous: Second Son full soundtrack for free.

"Yes, it's FREE. As a thanks for supporting the spectacular launch of inFAMOUS Second Son, the team at Sucker Punch Productions and PlayStation want to say THANKS for all your support in the form of this free app featuring the awesome music of inFAMOUS Second Son," the official blurb states.

The pack features 29 original pieces from Sucker Punch Productions' latest game, showcasing a collaboration between veteran composers Marc Canham, also known for working on Far Cry 2's soundtrack, Nathan Johnson, famous for his work on Looper and Brick and Brain, the famous contemporary rock drummer who played with Tom Waits, Serj Tankian and Primus.

The score was created in order to better punctuate Delsin's experiences while he fights his way through the forces that have taken the city hostage, offering a brilliant blend of chaotic guitars and driving grooves, inspired by the character's plight and by the iconic setting of Seattle.

The soundtrack can be found on the Sony Entertainment Network Store, and you can download it directly to your PlayStation 4 home entertainment system. The app is around 480 MB big and has only been released on the North American store for now but will most likely also land on the European one on Thursday, with the scheduled update.

Sony has also revealed that InFamous: Second Son managed to move an impressive number of units in its first 10 days on the shelves, over one million, making it the fastest selling game in the InFamous series' history.
