Nobody knew how gadget aficionados some people can be. Take Great Britain for example. Apparently, the Brits have become real gadget fans. This conclusion is the result of a recent survey, carried out by the fellows from "First Direct".

So, according to Webuser, the latest report of First Direct has shown that when it comes to telephone and Internet banking, the Brits own no less than 418 million electronic devices, which would basically mean that a total works out somewhere around 16 per household.

As nowadays, sweet streams of MP3 players and a hot flavor of plasma screen TVs, mixed with the new entry of the Blu-Ray and HD-DVD is simply irresistible, this news shouldn't come as a shock after all...There are over 16 million people that claim to use the Internet for banking, while another 8 million stated that they regularly shop online.

First Direct has also reported that there is still some resistance to this major influx of gadgets, as thirty per cent of Great Britain's population believe there is way too much technology in our lives. But there are seven million people who don't own any type of gizmo, not even a mobile cell phone, and there are 70 million handsets across the whole country.

The same report has revealed Britain's contradictory attitude towards gadgets across the country. The South-East part of it has a high proportion of anti-gizmos group, while the North-East is a real "Gadget Junkies" as First Direct puts it. They own at lest two games consoles.

All in all, this kind of reports should be also conducted in other countries such as Japan or China. Speaking of which, China actually rules the PMP market, supplying 30 per cent of the world's portable media players.
