Mac software developer EaseUS is giving away 1000 copies of its flagship product, CleanGenius Pro, in light of Steve Jobs’ upcoming birthday on February 24th. The offer lasts until February 29th.

“As Feb 24th, the birthday of Steve Jobs (Apple co-founder and ex-CEO) is coming, EaseUS is now giving away 1000 pieces of CleanGenius Pro to commemorate Steve with his beloved ones,” the company has announced.

EaseUS believes this is an appropriate way “to celebrate the life of Steve, who changed the world when he was alive.”

Those interested in grabbing a free copy of the software need to fill in their email address and they will receive the download URL immediately.

It isn’t clear whether or not the offer ends when the 1000 mark is reached, given that it could well happen even before February 24th - after all, there are 9 days left until Steve’s birthday.

EaseUS describes its CleanGenius Pro application as “an award-winning and all-in-one Mac Cleaner to keep your Mac clean in seconds, completely uninstall your apps, eject mounted devices and more.”

The company touts the following key features:

- Fast scan and clean your Mac in seconds, purifying your Mac and recovering hard disk space. - Completely uninstall the unwanted applications and delete related files. - Show the available disk space in the menu bar and main window. - Display a warning by changing the color to orange when your disk space is running low. - Eject all the mounted devices by a click, like external storage disks, CD and DVD disks, network storage, disk images.

EaseUS encourages interested parties to share this giveaway via their Facebook and Twitter accounts.

CleanGenius Pro regularly costs $12.99 per copy and requires Mac OS X 10.6 and later versions, 512 MB of RAM or more, and just 5 MB of available hard disk space.
