Thanks to a revamped Palm OS application

I have recently received a nice, little application that promises users to enable the possibility of customizing their Start Menu on their Windows Mobile smartphones. I know there are plenty of applications of this type in the wild, but this one kept hooked thanks to the multiple options that it offered. Developed by Ranosoft, Hi-Launcher not only makes one’s start menus look different, but it also simplifies and accelerates their access to various programs or functions of the smartphone. The trial version of the application is fully featured and is available for ten days, so I suggest one tries it before making an opinion on it.

As soon as you install Hi-Launcher, you will be presented with three options, which will determine the future use of your Start Menu: "I will design the Menu from scratch," "Load a sample Menu" and "Mimic de original Start Menu." Clicking the first option gives you access to the full power of this application, as it will enable the in-depth customization of the Start Menu, including graphics, design and quantity of programs contained.

Before getting to work, you will have to choose the Menu trigger, which will open the Start menu, so you will be presented with another three options: Start button tap, Hard button press and Screen gesture. Choose the one that fits your needs best. Be careful when choosing one of the three options, as you will not be able to choose the same one when selecting the Switch Task trigger (this one is used when you want to switch between two of your most recently used tasks). The next window offers you the option to resize the Start menu as you wish and add various items, such as: Items, Contacts, Programs, Submenu, and many more.
The graphics and design of the Start menu can also be customized thanks to the next window of the application, which has five available tabs: Triggers, Animation, Contents, Lists and Frame. There are four predefined types of animations that can be chosen from, and four available options for the look of the Start menu. There's also an Exceptions window, which disables the Hi-Launcher overtask. You can add here more tasks, as you see fit. You can also exclude tasks/programs from lists, by adding the tasks into the Exclude tab.
As I have already mentioned above, Ranosoft offers a ten-day trial of Hi-Launcher, which is fully featured. The full version of the application can be acquired for $14.95 per licence. Note: You can easily follow my guides by subscribing to the RSS feed.
