Verizon Wireless announced that its Mobile Web 2.0 service has just got better, after an important upgrade. The redesigned service will help users get information on their mobile devices easier than ever, as it comes with new functionalities and characteristics. Needless to say, the old features of Mobile Web are still available: access e-mail, weather, news, sports and information from US' most important content providers like USA TODAY, ESPN, MapQuest or Bank of
America.

Verizon Wireless subscribers that have Mobile Web 2.0-capable cell phones can now benefit from various new features: new search functionality, allowing an efficient and easy content search; new content channels (Local, Money, Commute, Tools and Connect); dropdown headlines, so you can select up to seven headlines, thus faster accessing the articles you're interested in; 10 button navigation, providing more options for each page; numbered article and information pages, allowing one-click access so you can forget about clicking through multiple links; advanced graphics (overall improvement and headlines with photo links); navigational shortcut menu - a dropdown menu with links to different other locations for a better and faster navigation; improved content placement, so you can effortlessly search and find what you want.

The vice president of consumer product development for Verizon Wireless, Lee Daniels, said: "The redesign of Mobile Web 2.0 is another example of how we consistently strive to further enhance and simplify our customers' wireless experience. Customer choice, easy navigation and usability are critical factors that help shape the success of a mobile data service in the marketplace."

Mobile Web 2.0 can be accessed for $5.00 per month, plus airtime. The service is also available as part of the V CAST VPak, which includes, besides Mobile Web 2.0, access to ESPN MVP and unlimited basic V CAST Video clips. The V CAST VPak costs $15.00 per month and its subscribers don't have to pay airtime charges when using Mobile Web 2.0, Get It Now or V CAST Video and Music.
