Call of Duty: Ghosts features a vastly improved engine designed to take advantage of next-gen consoles like PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

However, it will also improve the version of the game for current devices like PS3 or Xbox 360.

Call of Duty: Ghosts features a drastically improved edition of the franchise's core engine that takes advantage of powerful next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

The improvements, however, will also have an impact on the visual fidelity of the game's PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, as Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin told IGN that current console owners will feel an increase in terms of quality.

No concrete examples were given by Rubin, so Call of Duty fans will have to wait until E3 2013 to perhaps get a glimpse at Ghosts running on PS3 or Xbox 360, not just on Xbox One.
