The $500 mark may have become something of a not truly unspoken price standard for tablets nowadays, but Leader went quite a bit lower than that when it built the Impression 10.

As has become a sort of norm over the past couple of quarters, not a day seems to go by without some sort of mention of a tablet or another.

Speaking of tablets, just the past couple of days saw updates on a whole bunch of them, including Amazon's project, Lenovo's IdeaPad and Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Now, it looks like Leader has its own tablet ready for order, one that might actually gain quite the following if it performs well.

The reason it might become popular is the fact that its price is $350, which is quite the jump down for the $500 that most of today's tablets chose to stick to.

Things are made even more interesting by the fact that the performance of the product isn't that much lower than that of the iPad.

The Samsung A8 S5PC110 1GHz processor does imply a lower performance than the Tegra 2, for instance, but this drawback is at least partially made up for by the IPS 9.7-inch touchscreen display.

The capacitive touch panel should have the same responsiveness and image quality as the iPad (the resolution is of 1,024 x 768 pixels).

The other major factor behind the low base price is the storage space of just 4 GB, although a microSDHC card slot makes it easy to throw in up to an extra 32 GB.

Other specifications of note are the Android 2.2 operating system, HDMI (1,080p support), USB 2.0, and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi.

End-users that would like to get a good look at all available information on the Impression 10 need only drop by its official product page, located here.
