Artists and futurist Micah Ganske never thought one of his pieces would be printed in 3D

Some humans have the sort of artistic vision that can't really be translated into a single media, not without losing some of the message. 3D printing is doing a pretty good job of preserving most of that message though.

Micah Ganske is a man that thinks up ideas and produces works of art that look far into what the future could be like.

He has various sculptures and paintings meant to show that science and technology can change the world forever.

His most recent body of work is a series of paintings and sculptures that compare the failures of modern industry against that belief.

The Mining Habitat is one of them, and it's just been 3D printed too.

A model of an industrial space station, it is made of about a thousand 3D printed parts, which took around 700 hours of print time, altogether.
