Imation Launches 3 New Media For 'Memory Keepers'

Imation unveils its new selection of media products designed to help "memory keepers" create, capture, preserve and share users' important personal digital memories and data.

These media products include Thematic, ForceField and Lightscribe CDs and DVDs.

Imation is changing the face of media with its Thematic range of discs. Imation delivers both form and function with these new thematic discs; “Grade A” quality, that can store up to 700MB (CD-R) and 4.7GB (DVD) of data, in unique and attractive designs.
Unlike printable media which requires a use of special printers and sometimes labels, these Thematic range of discs are specially designed and come preprinted with colorful prints to reflect various themes.

Following the well-received popularity of the Thematic range of CDs, for the very first time, Imation introduces the i-Crystal Thematic DVD. Each DVD comes available in +R and -R format, has a whopping 4.7GB capacity, and features simple clean-lined designs in 4 colors - Ice Blue, Misty Rose, Pearl and Titanium.

Thematic 52x CDR available in 10-pc puck at SRP$4.50 and 50-pc bulk at SRP$19.90. Thematic 8x DVD +R and -R available at SRP$12.90 (10pc spindle) and SRP28.90 (25-pc spindle).

Memory keepers can soon burn professional-looking labels on their CDs and DVDs right from a computer using LightScribe Direct Disc Labeling technology. Developed by HP, LightScribe is a combination of LightScribe- compatible media, LightScribe-enabled recordable optical drives and LightScribe-supported software configurations that enable customers to burn to the data side of the disc, flip the disc over and "burn" a silk-screen quality label with the desired text and graphics using the same laser ,no printer or adhesive labeling required.
