14 DAY TRIAL // Imation has various data security technologies, but now it can safely say that its portfolio has increased, thanks to the addition of McAfee's Encrypted USB device business.
As part of its new responsibilities, Imation will sell USB devices (USB Flash drives, encrypted external HDDs) and provide support, down to the related USB management software extension for McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.
The decision was made because Imation already was a McAfee partner, as well as the McAfee Encrypted USB devices’ OEM manufacturer and supplier.
Imation and McAfee believe that the former can “ensure that Encrypted USB customers continue to have products that meet the highest standards, best-in-class device management solutions, and technical support,” according to Ed Barry, vice president of the security innovation alliance, McAfee.
