Are you happy with your current image editor? I can't say that I am really irritated when using it, but it can always get better,
and this is the force that pushes me forward in seeking new worlds and civilisations...excuse me, new software products! Today, we're talking about image editors, and I have a fresh release to tell you about up next.

Yesterday, XtraLean released ImageWell 3, a major update that offers more than 50 new features, a better user interface and offers a paid upgrade option, but even the free version comes with a lot of new features, and the cost required to unlock them all is 14.95$. ImageWell requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later to run and comes as a Universal Binary compatible with both PowerPC and Intel platforms. These being said, the time has come to check some of this program's features, don't you think?

The editing features available in ImageWell include resize, rotate, crop and flip, drop shadows with opacity and color controls, the ability to add text or graphic watermarks to your image, frame your image with a shape and add colored borders, talking balloons, thought clouds or text labels, layering and transparency controls, as well as an excellent screen grab feature.

When it comes to importing, drag and drop and copy paste operations are really easy to perform, ImageWell having full suport for drag and drop, so taking images from iPhoto, word documents or presentations requires only a quick mouse movement we're all used to.

The exporting features allow you to send the images with a single click to your iDisk, FTP/SFTP or WebDAV server and use a random filename generator for those times when you run out of inspiration.

At last, if you have problems with the English language or feel better using software with an interface that uses your native language, ImageWell is localized in 12 different languages, including a partial Japanese translation and Traditional Chinese.
