Parents wanting their kids to get inspired from an early age might want to pick up “Who Was Steve Jobs?”, a nicely written children’s book that talks about the late Apple co-founder, how he grew up, a little bit about Silicon Valley, the industries Jobs left his mark on, and much more.

“Who Was Steve Jobs?” is a question your kid might ask some day hearing grown-ups talk about this visionary genius who foresaw how everyone could connect with technology in a personal manner.

Computers are something that kids nowadays take for granted, much like we took for granted televisions, phones, and our cars’ radios when we were growing up.

And just like there’s a remarkable human being behind each and every one of those early inventions, so is Steve Jobs behind the personal computer.

At $4.99 (around 4 EUR), “Who Was Steve Jobs?” is a bargain for the wealth of information it provides, not to mention the comprehensive manner in which it’s been written.

Carmen, a fan of the “Who Was” series by Grosset & Dunlap, writes on Amazon.com:

All of the "Who was" books are great. They offer more information than just about the person the book is written about and are a great resource for kids to learn about an era or issue in history. Also, they are "reader friendly" therefore very inviting to a kid that may not be interested in history or biographies. Our faqmily [sic] highly recommend any and all of them!

The book is authored Pam Pollack, and Meg Belviso. The illustrations are the work of John O’Brien and Nancy Harrison.

Published by Grosset & Dunlap, the book is aimed at kids aged 8 and up. It has 112 pages and it’s only available in English for now. The dimensions are: 7.4 x 5.2 x 0.4 inches.
