There’s no shame in looking good even after you expire. In fact, cult beauty company Illamasqua and London funeral house Leverton & Sons are counting on family wanting this for their dear, departed ones, launching a venture as unique as it’s (probably) fabulous.

Called “The Final Act of Self-Expression,” the new offer comes as a result of a joint effort from the two, aiming to offer beauty makeovers and professional makeup to the dead.

It doesn’t come cheap (upwards of £450) but, like with everything else in life (and death), you have to pay for quality.

Illamasqua director Joe Corre, who is also the founder of luxury lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, says the new offer is targeted at a special niche of the public: those who pre-plan their funerals and are, of course, financially able to pay the extra cost to look this good in death, The Telegraph reports.

“At Levertons we have always applied make-up when requested by family and friends or when specified in someone’s pre-arranged funeral,” Andrew Leverton, director of Levertons & Sons, also states.

With this partnership, they can now take this special service upon request one level up.

“We are now entering a new era in [which] pre-arranged funerals have become as standard as making a will, it’s great for us to be able to offer this additional service,” Leverton adds.

Makeup artists from Illamasqua have received special training at the funeral home to ensure the results are the best possible.

After all, if you opt for this final makeover, you might as well go out with a bang.

“To wear the most fabulous make-up applied by a professionally trained make-up artist for your final journey is the ultimate statement of celebration. It’s celebration of life, and one that should be indulged for your last glamorous look,” Leverton & Sons writes on the official blog.
