It is made in such a way that it can stand upright or lay totally flat

Touchscreen monitors have been coming out a lot more often lately, but most of them don't actually have that one ability that actually allows touch support to be more of a benefit than a chore. Iiyama has just released a model like that.

One would think it is madness to say touch support could possibly be a chore, but their mind would probably change once they actually try to hold out their arms for extended periods of time, manipulating the screen while moving around the keyboard.

Basically, if you're going to make a touch-capable monitor, you may as well design it in a way that lets it lay flat on the table.

Especially when the screen size is large enough for more than one person to work on it at the same time.

Iiyama's Pro Lite T2735MSC 27-inch touchscreen monitor features all those capabilities.

The Full HD panel (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) has viewing angles of 178°/178° and a brightness of 250 cd/m2.

The static contrast ratio is of 3,000:1, better than others to be sure, and the dynamic mega-contrast isn't about to be overlooked either.

These assets are owed to the AMVA (multi-domain vertical alignment) panel made by AU Optronics. The panel is covered by a 10-point multi-touch layer.

The specifications don't end here though, and we aren't just referring to the display inputs (DVI, HDMI, D-Sub, MHL / mobile high-definition link).

It turns out that the Iiyama Pro Lite T2735MSC also boasts a USB 2.0 port, though it's there just because the touch component needs it.

All in all, the newcomer, ergonomic stand and all (can slide the monitor down for use as a touch table), measures 739 x 127 x 510 mm / 29 x 5 x 20 inches and weight 10.4 kilos / 23 pounds. Sales will start in Japan soon, for 89,800 JPY (US $920 / €690).
