It turns out the leak was an act of revenge

That didn't last very long! It seems that Iggy Azalea is not a rude girl just on stage, she's also rude at home. The Australian rapper with an American accent has confirmed through her lawyers that the leaked video is of her and it could be all an act of revenge from her former boyfriend, the one who can also be seen on the video.

The news comes via TMZ which claims that there is a possibility we will never see the tape since Iggy's legal team is saying she was a minor at the time. This is the same team of lawyers that maintained the tape was fake just yesterday.

The tape is real but it might never be released since Iggy claims she was a minor at the time

For those who can't wait to see the recording, there is some potentially bad news: the tape might never be released, not legally anyway, since it depicts lewd acts from a minor. That is a very smart move from Azalea's camp, that turns the leaked video into legal kryptonite – anyone posting the video could go to jail.

Steven Hirsch, the head of Vivid Entertainment, a site that specializes in celebrity raunchy tape, was very interested in Iggy's video performance and contacted her, hoping to strike a deal like the one he did with Kim Kardashian, in which she gets a percentage from all sales.

Since then, he claims that he's been threatened with a lawsuit by Azalea's lawyers. This was strong indication that the video was not fake, as she claimed at first, but it was genuine and the singer tried her best to prevent it from being published anywhere.

Video may have been taken secretly and leaked by jealous ex-boyfriend

The same sources who revealed the video was real are now saying that the video was leaked intentionally by a former boyfriend of Azalea's who is clearly irked with her, since he wants to damage her image and her career.

They also add that the video was possibly shot “without her knowledge or consent,” which is an odd thing to say, since there's really no in-between these two options: she was either in on it or she wasn't.

Chances are very high at the moment that the video will never surface since Iggy is playing the “minor at the time” card. This same card was used just recently in the Celebgate scandal by American gymnast McKayla Maroney. Sadly for her, she only thought of that after the leak.

For Iggy, the chances of that video seeing the light of day are very slim, but if it turns out that the boyfriend recorded her without her consent, he could be in serious trouble with the law. Story developing ...
