New firmware releases for three different Macs this week, all with the same goal

This week Apple rolled out several updates for Mac users owning either a MacBook, a Macbook Pro, or a Mac mini. The updates didn’t come in bulk, so in case you missed them, you can grab them right here, right now.

The three new firmware releases this week all have a common goal - to enable Lion Recovery from an Internet connection. Recovery is an exclusive feature introduced in OS X Lion that lets you restore system software to your Mac with a few clicks, no install discs, and (hopefully) less headaches.

The Mac mini EFI Firmware update in particular also addresses an issue where the setting to restart after a power failure may not be retained. Use the links below to grab the firmware update suited for your computer.
