The handset is available for only Rs 8,999 ($145 / €105) outright

Indian carrier Idea Cellular has just announced the immediate availability of its own branded Aurus 4 dual-SIM Android smartphone. Customers who purchase the device will also receive between 250 MB and 1.6 GB of 3G data, along with Idea TV subscription free for the first 3 months.

In order to get the device, potential customers will have to come up with Rs 8,999 ($145 / €105) upfront. As fonearena points out, Idea Aurus 4 ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a decent 1.3 GHz dual-core processor.

Furthermore, the mid-range smartphone comes equipped with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

The Aurus 4 also sports a large 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution, as well as a 5-megapixel main camera with autofocus and LED flash, and VGA front-facing camera for video calls.
