Sony has confirmed that the high definition version of Ico will soon be playable on the PlayStation Vita thanks to the system’s remote play feature.

The PS Vita came out at the beginning of the year and Sony included a variety of impressive systems into the handheld console, like the ability to display gameplay footage from a title that’s running on a PlayStation 3 nearby.

This Remote Play feature will soon support a new game, as Sony’s President of Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, posted on Twitter an image of Ico HD running on the Vita.

He revealed that the game was still being tested by Sony and that a patch would soon be released for Ico HD to enable this feature.

What’s more, a photo obtained by AGB of a Sony presentation mentions that other games will soon support the PS Vita’s Remote Play feature, including Shadow of the Colossus HD, as well as God of War 1 and 2 HD.

As of yet, Sony hasn’t commented on the possibility of seeing more PS3 games playable on the Vita.
