Bjork, a world-renowned Icelandic singer and songwriter, has decided to get involved a bit more in the IT world with the development of a new application for Android and Windows 8.

Her app, called Biophilia, is already available on iOS devices, but the team of developers is now working to port the software on both Android and Windows 8 platforms.

“We have seen the Biophilia App be used to great effect as a teaching tool for children with Attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Often ADHD represents a barrier to success at school, however during the Biophilia educational workshops we witnessed children with ADHD and similar behavioral disorders excel to produce comparative work to their peers,” it’s mentioned on the Kickstarter page.

Developers need a total of £375,000 (€433,000 / $586,500) to port the app to Windows 8, but with only 21 days to go, it has raised only £15,204 (€17,558 / $23,777)
